Online Auction To Benefit Northern Hills Hockey
Rapid City Marshals Co-owner Rebecca Chapman announced a partnership between the Rapid City Marshals and the Northern Hills Chinook to raise funds for the Northern Hills Hockey Association. This announcement comes as the new ownership of the Marshals are working toward strengthening community relationships with all of their Black Hills communities.
"Our organization serves more than just Rapid City" said Chapman. "Our fans reach across state lines into Wyoming and Nebraska and even farther as you move into eastern South Dakota".
Co-owners Wes Johnson and Rebecca Chapman took ownership of the Professional Indoor Football Team late last season. Their company, named For The Fans LLC intends to live up to their name by creating a local organization that is simply "for the fans".
The brother-sister duo opened offices in The Monument last spring and late last fall signed a three-year agreement to continue to play Professional Indoor Football in the Summit Arena. Johnson describes the upcoming season as 'the most fun you'll ever have at a football game'.
The first (preseason) game of the season is Sunday, February 19th in the Summit arena when the Marshals will host the Fargo Invaders from North Dakota. The Marshals then take the road March 4th for the first regular season game against Sioux City, IA on March 4th. Tickets for all of the home games can be purchased here.
