Marshals announce facebook live event during 2024 season press conference

The Rapid City Marshals will host a special event in the Summit Arena at the Monument on Tuesday, October 3rd at 11:00AM. According to the unique invitations sent out to media and community partners, ownership is hosting media, corporate partners, season ticket holders, fans and friends for an event to discuss a "fresh change" to the Marshals organization ahead of their 2024 football season.

The event is open to the public and will host a variety of informative talking points including an introduction of the team's new head coach. Dante Dudley was head coach for two seasons beginning with the inaugural season in 2022. At the close of the 2023 season Dudley was released as head coach after a winless season.

Marshals co-owner Wes Johnson said the event in the Summit Arena is open to everyone to attend. He said he and his co-owner sister, Rebecca Chapman are excited about the changes coming to the organization.

"We will be announcing a lot of details for the 2024 season including introducing our new head coach, a contest for naming our team mascot, the introduction of the new Marshals Street Team, and big changes to the 2024 season schedule - among other announcements" Johnson said.

He said that some of the changes are really big for the Rapid City community and he and Chapman believe they will be positive for the organization moving forward.

Johnson and Chapman are encouraging anyone to attend that are excited to see the future of pro football in Rapid City. If you cannot attend, the event will be live-streamed via Facebook.
